He's still there, of course, but more of a minor background character. Same with Alli. Also each song chosen, at the beginning of the chapter, relates to the chapter somehow. It's either by mood or the song used somehow in the chapter itself. The songs chosen are from the 80s, or the late 70s (as these characters would've grown up with 70s music).
