With the help of an old friend, the group is able to get into the last city, but in the walls Newt seems to be changing. And once Teresa is captured, a shocking secret will be revealed. The first book is 'In These Walls' and the second is 'In the Scorch') According to WICKED, the trials are now over for the Gladers, but Thomas is locked away in a room and (y/n) hasn't been able to see Newt since they got back from the Scorch. WICKED also promises to give back the memories to the Gladers and reactivate the special qualities each pair of partners had been given.
