She knew nothing about this newspark, or how it came to be born, or what in the name of Primus happened to its carrier--but that was all waiting to be unveiled, just like slowly peeling the petals off of a gorgeous crimson flower. - Things take a turn for the worst when the newest rescue bot finds an abandoned newspark, who she lovingly names Rose, in the woods on the Mainland. Quickshadow decides to take it upon herself to care for Rose while she and the rescue team begin the search for the sparkling's creators. Some of the bots aren't so fond of her plan at first. The tension between Heatwave and Quickshadow thickens when a few pent-up feelings are brought to light, and they quickly begin to realize that they need to set aside their differences (and maybe their emotions) in order to keep the team together as major problems begin to surface. Adopting a helpless, abandoned sparkling doesn't seem so complicated at first, but this one happens to have a dangerous secret, one none of them know. And when that secret casts over the team in a dark shadow with questionable motives and a mysterious links to her past, Quickshadow has to make one of the most difficult choices in her functioning: give up her one chance to save someone she thought she'd lost, or risk everything to protect her new-found family. The story is about a girl who is the bad girl type, and she is smart. and she was good with vehicles and machines. Rachel was a rebel with a cause. She was an intelligent young woman who was also sexy and she loved fast cars and she didn't like being fucked with. Rachel loved to take risks and live life on the edge. She was an expert when it came to cars and machines, and she would often tinker with them. She was not afraid to stand up for what she believed in and was determined to make a difference in the world. Despite her tough exterior, Alice was kind and compassionate. She was a great listener and was always willing to help out her friends and family.

Life as many knew it was simple, life as very few knew was chaotic and one wrong choice away from the end of the world. Following the path her father had left behind led Trace down a lot of rabbit holes, ones that left her digging herself out no matter the means and ones that might just lead her to the place she needs to be. To many she was just a girl hunting stars with no means to an end, to few the cryptic Hunter was a shark in the water with her first taste of blood.
