Joanna Brown's life is irreversibly altered when Jack Sparrow barges into her father's smithy and holds her at gunpoint. It's Jack's knowledge that leads her and William, her brother in all but blood, into piracy; it's Jack's old grudges that leads her to a marooning; it's Jack's past that introduces her to a crew of cursed, dead men. And it's Jack Sparrow, with his unique philosophy and penchant for freedom, that makes Joanna question her role in the society she's known for so long.

'Well, well, well, he murmured, leaning back once more and surveying me with a hard eye. 'Are you or are you not Clara Henrietta Finch, debaucherous thief and feckless deserter?' I shifted my weight to my other hip. 'As it happens, no,' I replied. 'I'm Clara Henrietta Finch, honest woman, maid to the governor, and overall positive contributor to society at large.' The right corner of Jack's mouth curled up in a half-grin, and I caught the flash of a gold tooth. 'I'm sure you fool plenty with that line,' he murmured wryly, 'but not me.' Clara Finch left the Black Pearl behind ten years ago, but somehow it's come crashing into her life in Port Royal -- as well as her former best friend, Jack Sparrow, who's supposed to be very, very dead. Now there's a curse, a kidnapping, and uncovered secrets to deal with, not to mention years of repressed feelings coming to the surface. Takes place over the course of the first POTC movie, JackxOC pairing.

Orphaned by a hurricane, Marion Swift has grown up under the caring wing of Lady Taylor in Port Royal. Prim and proper, no one would've thought that such a girl could ever affiliate with a pirate. Not even herself. Yet behind the demure facade is an ambition as untameable as the Caribbean Sea. When thunder clouds brew and grief consumes, Marion is caught stranded in uncharted waters. Moonlit terrors and deep sea myths await her in a world where long lost secrets are shrouded in shadow. Secrets that would endow her with her true legacy. jack sparrow x fem!oc ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀© 2022, riverofblues

"Is that your clumsy way of implying I'm in danger? You forget, Captain, I can handle myself." "God save me from clever women with no sense of self-preservation." Jack says under his breath, frustrated but so utterly in love. "What was that?" You question as you step closer, eyes narrowed. "I said: lovely weather for a sea escape, isn't it?" He quickly recovers with a grin. "You are absurd." "Aye. But I make absurd look rather good, don't I?" That one makes the corner of your mouth twitch as you subtly walk off.
