He remembers the fall. The snow. The sound of footsteps he thought belonged to Steve. He remembers the orders. The voices. The pain they taught him to give himself. What he doesn't remember is how to be anything else.

Set after Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Bucky is lost, without a purpose and brainwashed within an inch of his life. S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra have both fallen and without anyone to stop him, Bucky intends to find out who he is - or who he was - before Hydra took away every last inch of him. Steve is left recovering from the catastrophe, but knows that Bucky is still out there, and that Bucky needs his help. Steve will do everything in his power to help his best friend find out who he is again. How far would you go to help your friend recover their mind? How long would you try for? Steve knows it isn't going to be easy, and wants to set Bucky on the road to recovery; but confusion and nostalgia hides around every corner. If Bucky is to find himself once again, Steve is going to have to face some hard truths about how he lost his friend and see him through every step of the way as he recovers, seeing him through the good times, and the bad. They might soon realise that the question "Who am I?" carries so much more than a name and a face.

Clara Peters always knew she had a life ahead of her. Of course, plans change when she is offered a job at S.H.I.E.L.D, or so she thought. Everything Clara thought she knew up to this point is disproved, and now Clara, barely escaping her with her life and with new and unwanted abilities, has to learn to live in this new life of secrecy as well as going off the grid with an Ex-Hydra Assassin with an unexpected past. Clara will get a taste of what life is like for the heroes she always admired from the sidelines. This is based off of the MCU movies of course starting from the ending of Winter Soldier to the end of CA:CW. I own none of the characters ofc except for Clara, but I hope you enjoy! It wasn't long after that when she was plucked off the street like some stray cat and chained to a chair like a dog on a leash, where she learned that Bucky had endured something worse than death and that she was there to help them break him.
