There was by no means a shortage of emergencies, but with the team getting more efficient in rescues, as well as making sure that they were finished with rescues as quickly as possible, even the occasional anecdote with Chickaletta began to get a bit annoying... Gripping onto the final portions of his early childhood, a fifteen year old Ryder is scouted and recruited to be the official leader of the protective services for Adventure City, meaning that he, Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye, as well as Tuck and Ella, would have to leave their childhood home and proceed to the next level. Meeting new people, making new friends, even recruiting new members, the PAW Patrol is never short of anything to do. Factor that in with the complicated feelings between the pups growing as quick as their sizes, Ryder quickly realizes that he has to make some changes with his team before it falls apart. Family. Something that Chase doesn't know about. Living a life where his parents were physically and mentally abusive. It's Liberty. She needs some pups for the safety of the new mayor who has been elected. Ryder, without hesitation, sends his two best pups, Chase and Skye. But during their surveillance, Chase, Skye and Liberty are kidnapped and sent to a cave far away from Adventure City without their puptags. They will therefore have to stay alive while searching their way to go back at Adventure City. Between fear and love, will Chase be a good leader to save his two friends as well as himself?

Love is always hard in many ways shapes and forms. It's no different in this story where our brave pups Chase and Marshall fight tough battles to get to pups they've loved for years now. When the day comes, where he saves a German Shepherd pup, that's when the journey of becoming a hero begins. But Ryder isn't alone on this journey, six others join him. Together they rise and shine as heroes to save the world from evil souls that lurk in the shadows and the evil plots that are whispered in secret.

Chase and Skye had always had a very close friendship. In fact, Skye believed that one day they could become something more together. Non-platonic relationships had never been considered within the Paw Patrol, at least without much thought. However, on a rare occasion where neither of them are called on a mission, the pilot and police pup's eyes are both set on how to make the most of their sudden day off.
