MARLEY MARLEAU has never been dealt the best hand. She's never known her father, and when her mother dies, Marley is left with nowhere to go and no one to turn to...until her uncle, Patrick Marleau, offers her a place to stay in his guesthouse. It sounds like the perfect fresh start. There's just one problem: she isn't the only one living there. WILL SMITH is San Jose's newest and shiniest rookie, fresh out of Boston and determined to make a name for himself in the NHL. The last thing he needs is a roommate-especially one who is sad, stubborn, and completely capable of cockblocking every ounce of fun out of his life. Marley doesn't want a roommate. Will definitely doesn't want Marley. But living under the same roof has a funny way of blurring the lines between annoyance and attraction. And when the one person Will was supposed to stay away from starts becoming the one person he can't stay away from, their little guesthouse arrangement might turn into something neither of them saw coming.

𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇. . . it all started casual. no feelings, no attachment, and definitely no dating. casual hookups in between practices and a secret kept from her brother. but deep down 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐞 knew that it was too late for casual: she fell for 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥, while for him... it still meant nothing. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WILL SMITH HOCKEY X FEM!OC © declineoretc start: april 25th, 2026

~tressa warsofsky finally stopped moving in 2022. after a childhood spent packing boxes for her dad's coaching career, san jose is the first place that feels like home. now a communications major at sjsu and an intern with the sharks' media team, she's focused on building something that's hers - dance team, school, and staying out of the sharks' locker room drama. will smith is in his second year and ready to take over. confident, sharp, and always somehow in front of her camera, he turns a few harmless tiktoks into something neither of them planned. but secrets don't stay quiet for long - especially when your dad is the coach. and this season, staying might be harder than leaving.
