Anna Wolfin wasn't a very sociable person. She often stuttered when talking to people she didn't know very well. Yet she had somehow managed to make quite a few friends, good ones at that. But sometimes, even around them, she is quiet and secretive. But that all changes after she and her friends, Jeanne Snowfeather and Aria Spirit, go outside at midnight during the full moon. What happens to the three girls when they meet a girl named Maka and an albino boy named Soul? And why is Jeanne a scythe? I own nothing except for Splatter. My friends belong to themselves and Soul Eater belongs to Funimation. Cover art by Lyrathewolf1

When you were a child, did you often ask your parents to check under the bed for monsters? Did you see shadows creep up on you in the dark? You would yell for your parents and they would show you that nothing was there, then you would calm down and fall asleep. As we all grow older, we don't fear the imaginary monsters. But one girl can't escape those fears. She can't run or hide from the monsters. She can't go to bed knowing everything is alright. Because she is the monster.

Annabelle Holly knew she wasn't normal. Unless normal meant you lived in a cruddy orphanage with a bunch of mean ugly girls. Sure, she was pretty, had blazing red hair, beautiful brown eyes and so on. But that doesn't make life better when nobody cares. Annabelle has been on her own since she was an infant, and all she had to make her happy was the stories she read online. But what she didn't know, was that those stories weren't some load of junk someone made up to scare their friends. They were real, VERY real.
