Ara, the only woman left alive after a plague, is searching for a way to save humanity. She thinks there isn't a man she can trust, until she meets Kaden. ***** A plague has swept over the Earth, killing the majority of the population and every female. Except one. Ara witnessed the horror and destruction, but for the last three years she has survived. Now, desperation and hunger force her out of the mountains and onto a dangerous path; across the flooded downtown and through the gangs of survivors is hope. Ara's father spoke of a clue that could save not just her, but humanity. Then she is captured by a group of men. Despite the seeming kindness of Kaden, a young man her own age, Ara doesn't know if she can trust them. Then again, there's no way she can cross the plague-ridden city on her own. Men. Monsters. Is there a difference? This is the story of The Last She. (This book contains all of The Last She Series - Book 1: The Last She, Book 2: The Last City and Book 3: The Last Creation) [[word count: 250,000-300,000 words]]

Isabelle Scott hasn't had the greatest life: Her mother died when she was young; her neglectful father has moved her around the country constantly since she was seven-years-old; and for years, she's forgotten major details and significant chunks of time. For the first time in her life, however, things have begun to look up. Her father had finally agreed to quit with the constant moving so she could have a normal Senior year in high school, and almost immediately after the school year started, she began to make friends fast and even edged towards getting a boyfriend. And even her memory blackouts seemed to come to screeching halt. But of course, it was all too good to be true. Only three months after the move, Isabelle starts to have intense dreams filled with fire that feel far too real. She comes home from her school prom one night and learns that her father is missing, and the only lead she has on what happened comes from a childhood friend she hasn't spoken to in years who just shows up on her doorstep, claiming to have all the answers. Isabelle feels she has no choice but to trust him--her father is all she has left--and her friend quickly becomes the key to a past that was hidden from her, and leads her to a future that she could never have imagined in her wildest dreams, even ones crackling with flame.

Oraia was once a land teeming with nature and goodness-a land so beautiful, people would dare to take the dangerous journey across the waters just to see it. Magic was alive and well, and peace was all its kingdoms knew. But then the curse fell, and sorcerers conspiring with demons took control, and an unspeakable evil began to slowly consume everything to the point of no return. Plants and animals died, and almost all of the good magic within Oraia was tainted. Only those who remained in the mountains, in the kingdom of Southspell, were untouched by the curse, but once the sorcerers caught word of such things, they burned the kingdom to the ground and killed every living soul in sight. Thousands of years later, the existence of Southspell has been wiped from history and only a chosen few know that the magic they wield is dark. Dark magic seems to have dominated everything, but good magic is still holding on and it will fight to survive until the very end. In every generation following the fall of the curse, there has been one who transcends-a child born to a family of dark magic who was chosen to wield good magic and live for the purpose of finding a way to lift the curse from the land. This generation's Transcendent is a girl by the name of Eris Silverwood, and she not only could be the last of her kind, but she holds the fate of the world in her hands.
