Hiccup Haddock had so many reasons to become a villain. In this story, which i'd like to call a parallel universe, he ran away from Berk and became the most dangerous guy in the archipelago. He grew tired of not living up to his expectations, and when he shot down Toothless, he made a decision to leave Berk for good and run away with the dragons. Hiccup was five years old when he was snatched up by a Night Fury in a raid and was never seen again. 15 years later, Berk is on another hunt for the nest, but things go wrong when a storm hits and the Chief, his wife and Gobber are stranded in an icy wasteland. While searching for shelter they're ambushed by dragons and taken to a mysterious place where they find someone who they never thought they'd see again.

Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such.
