Running away to find yourself, fight, and move forward is one thing. Running away from your arranged marriage, the biggest duty for a princess to fulfill, is another. Many rumors, questions, and speculations surround the circumstances of why Princess Iris of Tetra uncharacteristically spurns her arranged marriage. For those who know her, she is always obedient in her duties, accepting her position as princess seriously, even though she was originally born and raised elsewhere. However, for those who know her well are able to sense she doesn't necessarily like her obligations. So, why did she run away, even though she is fully aware many arranged marriages in her part of society are loveless? For Lord Kyle of Firenze, he sets off on a journey to find his runaway fiancee, seeking answers on her motives. There is one huge snag in this, however: how can the pursuer search for the pursued, as the pursued hides from the pursuer, when neither one knows what the other looks like? Add in an adventure Iris never expects herself to get into, perhaps a punishment from Karma for not being dutiful enough, and this is where her true self comes out. This quest, with Fate pulling the strings, brings Kyle and Iris together soon enough; not as betrothed or beings of high society, but as fighters and tacticians of war. Things will get complicated from there.

Killing: an act of love so sweet your body falls victim to such an ecstasy the staccato of the heart bursts your very soul and you perish into the stars above like so many unfortunates who have met the one called demon. Beau, Violette, Diana, Josephine, and Saya are demons who snatch the lives of the living to live themselves. Killing, loving. But what is to kill as is to love? What is a human, what is a demon, what is an angel, or even to live? A journey through human history from Ancient Asia to the Roman Empire to Victorian England to Bohemian Paris to modern Japan and much more, the demons tell their stories as like to a lover's ear. {I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to write something beautiful. This is not horror, really. I don't know how to describe it.} Note: The stories can be read separately or together. Many of them are one-shots, or constructed to be stand-alone even if they are connected to the overall plot. So you really can choose whichever one sounds most intriguing to you, whether by character or time period or country, or whatever you want really. Can't get enough? Life for Rose is a game. A deadly game. She lives in the squalor of Subterran Prime: a sprawling underground world where mad gods sleep around the fools who serve them; where the savage Justicars seek out criminals and undesirables for swift justice at the end of their bronze beaks; where hapless slaves are branded with the mark of the cypher and fed to the starving masses or the gluttenous ruling class. In this world Rose has two things: her intersex lover, Jay Chimera, and her imagination. Geared with both, she hurtles through dreamworlds and virtual realities, until she discovers the ultimate gift: a drug, the Haze, that makes her dreams reality. But in order to get the Haze she must put herself in the way of the Justicars and face their terrible thirst for punishment. Can Rose and Jay play the game and reach the next level in their quest for escape, or will they lose everything? This is a self-contained novelette that serves as a taster of my current work-in-progress, the full-length novel Troglodyte Rose. This is loosely adapted from a novella published in 2009 by Cadaverine Publications, which was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. The interactive website that accompanies this story is available at troglodyterose.com. Artwork by Kurt Huggins and Zelda Devon. Interactive website designed by Michael Bryant.

Six teens are devoted to a game with one rule: If a player gets tagged, they must change their life within the next fifteen minutes. The better the player, the bigger the change. One might give their car away, or punch the school bully. Another might change identities or sacrifice their virginity. Anything to keep evolving, to avoid fitting into a label or caring about the junk they own. But their quest for enlightenment has taken a rotten final turn - one of the players has murdered the game's creator, the teen prophet (cult leader?) David Bloom. Our narrator is being framed for the crime; can he clear his name and discover which of his lifelong friends is the murderer before he takes the fall? [sic] is a gritty teen murder mystery that delves into the psychology of enlightenment among the criminally dysfunctional.

In a world... Where star-crossed lovers guarantee sales and novels lack all novelty... Comes a story so generic that it will appeal to everyone of every generation forever... The story of a ruggedly handsome man of indeterminate age, named Guy who meets an exquisitely beautiful recently-come-of-age woman, named Eve. It's love at first sight, but one of them has a secret... A secret so big that it will tear them apart forever... Or will it? The world may never know, because this is not that book. This book is clever and will appeal to a specific audience. People who like witty humor and realistic characters. People who like a large dose of laughter in their sci-fi. Wherein: Liam Gatley is—was a normal, just-trying-to-get-by-with-as-little-effort-as-possible university student. But he’s just woken up from a birthday bender in a recruiting office, and before he can even figure out what’s happened, he’s rushed aboard the (in)famous ISS Titan to hunt down interstellar pirates as a proud—and completely expendable—member of the Imperial Space Corps. Suddenly it’s hard to imagine life being any worse . . . It turns out Liam just needs a better imagination. On his first day, Liam is shot, stabbed, crushed, electrocuted, asphyxiated, and drowned. It gets even worse when the Titan runs afoul of a telepathic mutant who turns the ship’s own crew against her. Now Liam’s talent at not-quite-dying might save the day, but he’ll still have to lose his mind to survive. And if he can manage that, he’ll have to battle an overzealous military commander whose ambition threatens the entire Interstellar Human Empire. If he ever hopes to make it home again, Liam will have to risk everything to save the empire. On the bright side, he may just get the girl in the process.
