HIGHEST RANK- #1 in Crush #2 in Paranormal For a moment he just sits there watching me with amused eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. Suddenly he stands up and walks forward until he's only inches from my body. Our faces so close that I can actually see the small sliver flecks in his eyes as they shimmer. "Wha-what are you doing?" I stutter my voice coming out as a breathless whisper. He breathes out. His breath fanning across my face, it smells of peppermint with a hint of orange. I shiver at the feeling. Sending a sensation that's equally as phenomenal as it is terrifying down my body. He leans in just a little closer so that our noses are almost touching. I stare up into his eyes, unsure of what to do. I feel frozen in place, like I can't move, like maybe I don't want to. "Time to seal it with a kiss" he suggests with a smirk. 🔹🔹🔹 Bethany Hibbler has a secret that she has kept from everyone. For 17 years Bethany has never told anybody that she can read minds. But then there's a new guy in school, he's arrogant, rude, egotistical, easily angered, and completely hot-he's Jake Lester. Before, Beth never believed in the paranormal world, but the word impossible seems all too possible when Jake arrives. This book is full of mind reading, a new set of vocabulary words, including: Book of Sacrimboniamat, The world of Eribiss, Eron, & Necrif, a lot of mistakes on Beth's part, some paranormal weirdness, confusion, palm facing stupidity, sarcasm, embarrassing moments, and a whole lot of comebacks. ➖➖ "Oh my freaking God such a good book! Girl you better keep writing this is aw-mase-ing"-@pinklady7777777 "I'm so excited, can't wait for more. I love this book so much, it's so interesting and totally the kind of book I read. 😊😍 U are an amazing writer 😘"-@Happyloner2004 "Honestly, this is one of the most amazing stories I've ever read!!! I'd Like to think I was a good person, before it all began. I didn't cheat on tests, or steal. But throughout my entire life, I was treated if I were a monster. At the age of five, after several agonizing tests, I was diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. But not even that title could describe just how strange I was. When another kid got hurt, I would cry. Whenever someone else was told a funny joke, I would laugh hysterically. People looked at me as if I were crazy- and for while I agreed with them. That was until I, Caddie Jones, was exiled to Nox Haven Academy, a school for truly special kids. Not the mentally ill, psychotic kind of special but the magical kind. Like witches, vampires, fairies and werewolves. Call me crazy if you want, you wouldn't be the first. But the stories are all true. The supernatural did exist and I was one of them. Life there was cool until suddenly, I was faced with two-faced witches, egotistical princes, hormone driven werewolves, and an army of evil warlocks who were threatening to destroy the world. ... Maybe Nox Haven was a school for psychos after all. ---------------------------------------------------------- Highest Rank: #2 in Paranormal 1st Place winner of The Night Shift's Killer Competition 4/10/16 Illustration by: Stephanie Pitino (www.ClairObscur.fr) (1st book in series)

Destiny. It was a funny thing. I had always thought that I could create my own destiny. But after attending my junior year at Nox Haven, I knew that wasn't possible. My destiny was written two hundred years before my birth, when my ancestor- The Dark Warlock- created a cult of Dark Ones. It was my destiny to rid the world of his mistake- but I didn't know how. That was the funny part, I knew what I had to do but I didn't know how. Nobody wrote that part of the prophecy. I would figure it out though, two of my beloved friends were dead because the Dark Ones. I swore on their graves that no one else would follow. **Book Three in the Nox Haven Series**

This is set after "The Reckoning" by Kelley Armstrong. I started it because I want this series to continue, and I hope that people who feel the same way will enjoy it! ~~ Chloe, Derek, Simon and Tori all seem to be safe with Kit and Lauren...but are they really? ~~ Excerpt: |I saw Derek fall beside me. "Derek!" I gasped in horror, dropping down beside him. He blinked his eyes warily, "I think I got shot." "No kidding," I laughed nervously, noticing the blood dripping from his leg. Derek looked at his leg and then back at me, panic in his eyes. "They're over here!" I hear someone shout to our right. Derek looks at me and pushes me up. "Go, I'll be okay." "You really think I'd do that?" I laugh humourless. "A guy can try," he muttered, trying to get up. I looked around at our surroundings, looking for a hiding spot that would fit both of us. I see a clump of bushes and point them out to Derek. He nods and crawls over, blood dripping from his leg. Pushing through, he reaches for me. Once we're out of sight, I take a look at his bullet wound. My eyes widen when I see how bad it is. I take my sweater off and rip off the sleeve. I wrap the sleeve around Derek's leg and inspect it. No blood drips through so I take that as a good sign, although he'll need stitches. Derek pulled me closer as the voices drew nearer. "Can you see them?" A radio cracks. "No," a female voice says right in front of us, "But I saw them go this way." I pushed myself deeper into the bush, careful not to bump into Derek as I go. A flashlight shines around us, then lands directly where we're sitting. Derek shifts uncomfortable next to me, afraid she found us. "Chloe," the woman says... |
