While trying to study photography at university, she meets Yunjin, her new roommate, and hopes to become friends so she never has to be alone again. Yunjin is a psychology student who decides to focus her final project on DID. To do so, she chooses to become Chaewon's roommate, known around campus for her disorder, to study properly. However, she must keep her study a secret. After a particularly terrible experience with her adoptive father and a few drinks, Min Chaewon finds her much-needed escape from reality in her soon-to-be biology teacher. There was something about Chaewon that always managed to infuriate her. Maybe it was the way she constantly challenged her for the top academic spot in their year, turning every lesson and assignment into an unspoken competition. Or perhaps it was her polished demeanor, that effortless poise that only someone born into privilege could pull off. Yunjin wasn't sure, but something about Chaewon grated on her nerves like nails on a chalkboard. It didn't help that Chaewon barely acknowledged her existence in their shared classes. It was as if Yunjin was invisible, unworthy of even the smallest flicker of attention. That indifference stung more than Yunjin cared to admit.
