(this was supposed to be a satire on the Sold to... trope, but somehow it ended up completely different.)
June was never the heroine of her own story. She's just a pawn in a game she doesn't understand.
After her family trades her for fame and school fees, she's delivered to the Saja Boys like a gift in wrapping paper. Their world is glittering and loud, full of fans who forget too quickly and doors that lock on their own.
The boys are beautiful. Legendary. Inhuman.
Sometimes, when they sing, the sky flickers.
And buried beneath all the flashing lights is a forgotten song:
A girl group that disappeared.
A memory that can't stay buried.
A demon with too many teeth.
June has a part to play.
The question is whether she gets to choose it.
