"I'm not marrying you," I said, chin tilted, spine iron-straight. Rihaan leaned in, a whisper away from my ear. "Too bad," he murmured, his breath warm against my skin. "I already said yes." My pulse stuttered. His eyes dropped, slow and unhurried, to the neckline of my saree. "Unless you want to give them a third photo to talk about." My hand curled into a fist - whether to slap him or kiss him, I couldn't sure. --- She was supposed to be a guest. Not the headline. When Siya Singhania arrives at her cousin's palace wedding in Udaipur, the last thing she expects is to go viral - in a scandalous photo with Rihaan Malhotra, heir to one of India's most elite hotel empires. One moment of misinterpreted contact, two damning photographs, and her arranged marriage prospects vanish overnight. Now, Siya finds herself summoned by both families... and face-to-face with the man the world thinks she's secretly dating. He's cold. Arrogant. Devastatingly sharp. And suddenly, the only option her parents - and his - consider honourable... is marriage. But Siya isn't the kind of woman who'll be pushed into a fairytale written by someone else. Especially not when Rihaan Malhotra seems to be the devil's spawn. A story of pride, power, and a chemistry that refuses to behave - even when everything else is at stake.

Landon Ashford. Star quarterback. And keeping up with the stereotype, he's a Grade-A asshole. Normally, I would have kept my mouth shut. But Hayley just confessed to him that she's really into him and wants to go out on a date with him. "Helena, you're not adequate enough for me," he mocks. "And you're not even pretty enough to ignore your lack of a personality. So please get it through your head: Dating you is out of the question." Cue the laughter of his loyal pack of brainless minions. Cue Hayley's tears. And cue me-finally snapping. I step towards him with slow claps, "Impressive." He looks at me questioningly so I continue, "When you were a little boy, your parents said they wanted you to be exotic. But the dyslexic you misunderstood. And now you're just toxic." "Excuse me?" he is annoyed. "Just because I don't want to date your petty friend doesn't mean I'm toxic." "With all due respect, which is none, this has nothing to do with you rejecting Hayley," I maintain an even sarcasm with my tone, loud enough for half of the cafeteria. "It's about your words. Seven thousand languages in this world and still you chose to speak shit." "Your friend needs to understand her place, in whatever language she gets," he states. "Audacity must be on sale this year, right?" I ask everyone around. I could hear a few giggles from some students and my friends. As their fight continues, Shanaya Kapoor starts to realise... she is making an enemy out of Landon Ashford, the golden boy. And Prince Charming sure will be ruthless towards this evil witch trying to dethrone him. It's going to be a trying time for the rest of her days at the university. Which have just started.
