You've read about it in every story I've written... Lindsey sings her to sleep with it...Stevie sang it to their newborn baby girl...It's gotten them through many hard times... And now it's here. This is the story of "Crystal", and how Stevie and Lindsey went from bandmates and friends to lovers one fateful night at a motel in Los Angeles when they stopped being Fritz and became Buckingham Nicks...

Set during the Tusk tour

"All there was, was tea...and Lindsey." After three grueling tours in six years, two painful breakups, a growing addiction to cocaine and a very successful solo album called Bella Donna that she's dead-set on following up with The Wild Heart, Stevie cuts her first solo tour extremely short to honor her promise to Fleetwood Mac and join them in a castle forty miles outside of Paris, France to record an album that will be a lot more commercial than Tusk...much to Lindsey's chagrin... But when Stevie receives word that her best friend Robin is not only dying of leukemia but pregnant, she begins to rely more and more on Lindsey for support, and things heat up and emotions run high as the situation between them, the situation with Robin, as well as growing addictions and drama within the band, take hold. "Six weeks in a foreign country, how the time flew...I didn't speak the language, but somehow I knew..."

Series of one-shots, inspired by songs and song lyrics. Might rework this into a cohesive narrative at some point. Shoving the baby bird out of the nest, let's see if it can fly!

How did they end up like this?

Before the fame. Before the heartbreak. Before they became icons, there was just Stevie and Lindsey. Two kids from California tangled up in ambition, music, and a love that neither of them understood but couldn't seem to walk away from. As Stevie looks back on those early days, she begins to trace the fault lines of the choices that changed everything. This is a story about being chosen, and what it costs. About chasing the kind of dream that burns everything in its path. And about how the beginnings we try to outrun are the ones that never truly let us go.

Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are the love story for the ages. Often tragic, always passionate, the magnetic pull and electricity between these two will always pull them together and perhaps push them apart. This story touches on all of their decades together and what might become of these two star-crossed lovers. This story took on a life of its own and is much longer than I'd originally imagined it would be. That said, it's for the die-hard Buckingham Nicks fans since it is a bit of a time commitment.
