(This story is based off of a roleplay, that is very much still going at the moment. @collin_warlord for the other main characters point of view.) There are an invasion of demons that broke out from the underworld, terrorising people, killing slaughtering, and marking the preys in the city, and it has been for over 10 years. Police, Rogues, Hunters, have been legally made to protect and capture all these demons that have caused havoc. However it has been difficult, because there are ranks to these demons, and the higher the rank the stronger and dangerous they are. Some say the mark humans to make them theirs, to replenish their magic, and become stronger. Dexter a human 20 year old has lived a life of chaos half of his time alive. Alone and widowed, along the way back home from the shops and broad daylight he gets marked out of nowhere by a demon, next in line to rule all of hell.
