After a failed attempt at suicide, Hiccup feels like there is nothing left to live for. He has no friends, he cant fight, he is a loser, he is constantly picked on by EVERYONE, he is a horrible Viking, his dad is barely ever around, and he feels like he has no future. Until he meets Merida. When this red headed Scottish girl is forced to transfer to a Viking school so she can learn how to fight with more than just a bow and arrow she is NOT happy about it. But when she arrives she feels like she is their for a reason. But what? When Merida and Hiccup meet they know they finally found someone to talk to, trust, befriend, and eventually.... Fall in love with. But how long before Merida hears Hiccups story? And how long can Merida keep lying to Hiccup about hers?
