The year is now 2030, 15 years since the world's deadliest plague struck, a virus accidentally released by the world's leading biotech corporation, Secranom. In a post-apocalyptic world, survivors from all different groups do whatever it takes to survive. Conflicts arise between many camps, each similar to a small empire. Meanwhile, the virus begins to mutate, becoming deadlier with each genetic modification. Paul Smith is one of these survivors, who was once an innocent father. After all these years, Paul has learned to cope with his losses and forget the past, that is, until he is stuck with a 12-year old girl. The girl, Angel, reminds Paul of what it is to live, and brings back the dark memories he had tried to bury for many years. Angel changes Paul's main priorities, which is now to protect her at all costs. Paul will attempt again at what he failed to do with his own daughter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story is only in its beginning stages of writing, but you may feel free to leave comments and suggestions.
