Carmen was so ready for a two-week getaway at a luxurious resort prior his sister's wedding. Sun, cocktails, and absolutely no reminders of his disastrous love life. Except fate-cruel, petty fate-decided to throw in one little problem: Kasimir Keighley. The best man. His lifelong nemesis. The human equivalent of an overpriced espresso-bitter, way too strong, and annoyingly addictive. Trapped in paradise with the one person who knows exactly how to get under his skin, Carmen is sure it'll be a nightmare. But between stolen glances, unexpected truce moments, and a very inconvenient attraction, he starts to wonder... is it hate, or is it something much, much worse?

Shannon Cole has always survived by noticing what others miss. Numbers stick. Faces linger. Conversations don't fade. In the hood, that kind of mind doesn't stay unnoticed-it gets used. Shannon has become a quiet resource, passed between crews whenever something needs remembering, calculating, or confirming. He tells himself it's temporary. Just helping. Just staying afloat. Until everyone wants him. As gangs begin circling closer, access to Shannon turns into competition-and then into risk. Because when too many people want what you know, someone eventually decides you're too valuable to share. Tiger Laurent doesn't compete. He decides. Tiger runs things with calm precision, and when he claims Shannon, it isn't curiosity-it's control. Pulled out of circulation and placed under Tiger's watch, Shannon finds himself safer than he's ever been-and more trapped than he imagined possible. Protection blurs into possession. Use starts to feel permanent. And the more indispensable Shannon becomes, the harder it is to tell whether he's being kept alive... or quietly erased.

Liam sees the world through a lens of optimism and charm-but even the sunniest personalities have shadows. Starting college with a fresh sense of independence, he navigates roommates, awkward dorm disasters, and the thrill of learning who he wants to be. Then Mark storms back into his life. Bigger, angrier, impossible to ignore, Mark shatters Liam's carefully constructed college calm. Old insults flare, old wounds reopen, and secrets are revealed. What starts as hatred slowly shifts as cracks appear beneath Mark's scowl and Liam's endless sunshine. The collision between them isn't a smooth descent into romance; it's messy, reluctant, and jagged.

Riley Lachkov's life has only ever revolved around one thing-soccer. Raised in a family where emotions don't really exist, he's kept a cold front for as long as he can remember. Most people think they know him: a cocky, arrogant, rude jerk who couldn't care less about what anyone thinks. But there's a part of him no one's ever seen-and he intends to keep it that way. Archer Wilson has everything going for him. Top of his classes, most popular boy in school, and Saint Arthur's golden boy. He's charismatic, effortlessly kind, and has a way of making anyone fall for him without trying. When Riley's family immigrates from Russia to the States, he struggles to adjust, forced to start over in a place that feels nothing like home. His closed-off attitude and tendency to act like a total douchebag don't help either-they just push people further away. But Archer doesn't back off. If anything, he's more intrigued by the new transfer student, determined to break down every wall Riley has spent his life building. He can't help but praise him for everything he does, and quickly realizes he's smitten the moment he meets him. What happens when Archer, Saint Arthur's golden boy, starts falling for the new transfer student who seems to hate everyone? Will Riley finally let him in-or keep pushing him away like he always has? #1 in #gay (12.19.2025) tropes: #grumpyxsunshine, #polaropposites, #slowburn, #temporaryunrequitedlove #popularnerdxlonelyathlete #chasingarc #groveling #redemptionarc All Rights Reserved to Asphericity

It was somewhat inspired by my book Stalemate so it will hold some similarities to that as well! Also there's probably going to be a decent amount of violence and even more sexual content.]

Twenty-two-year-old Cornelio Raymond felt like his life had stalled before it had even begun. Six months after graduating from college, he was still spending every day working at his uncle's restaurant, trapped in the same routine and desperate for something, anything, to change. So when he jokingly asked the universe for a sign, he never expected it to answer in the form of Ian Hammer. At twenty-one, Ian was homeless, guarded, and used to surviving alone. Accepting help from a stranger went against every instinct he had, but with a storm rolling in and nowhere else to go, he reluctantly agreed to stay at Cornelio's apartment for a few nights. It was meant to be a simple, short-term arrangement until something neither of them expected got involved: feelings.

"You're shaking, Pip." Adam laughed, looking down on me, his eyes hungrily scanning my body. "It's Jude! Don't call me, Pip, when we're fucking." I warned him, groaning out of annoyance because he simply couldn't stop calling me that stupid name. Though, it made him laugh even more. ••• In a world where losing means more than just defeat, some choices can't be undone and some relationships don't survive the fight. Jude Ellington had to learn this lesson the hard way as he suddenly finds himself in the brutal underground scene, having to fight his childhood best friend in front of a crowd, that couldn't care less whether he makes it out alive or dies. His childhood best friend, also known as the King of the underground. And as if that wasn't complicated enough, their increasingly tangled friends-with-benefits relationship makes it even harder to separate emotions from consequences.

Eddie Peters is your typical boy next door, with just enough chaos pumping through his veins. Born and raised in Gunner, Tennessee, everyone loves him. But it's all skin-deep. He knows how to navigate small-town courtesies and polite talk just fine-it's real connection that's hard. A tragic string of failed romantic attachments taught him he might be good for a fun time, but not a long time. Cody Hill works at the Rolland Horse Ranch. He's always been no good with people, but horses he knows well. He's a man meant for a simple, quiet life. And if that doesn't include love, that's fine by him. He's made peace with it-or so he thought. When Eddie and Cody meet, the chemistry is undeniable. But chemistry is not real connection. That takes effort, and the courage to let yourself be seen. Companion sequel to "Fight or Flight". Can be read as a standalone, but characters from the previous book are present.
