Daniel Ulysses Barrow, created in space, part Time Lord, part human, is abandoned to a parallel Earth with three things: a small bit of coral destined to become a sentient time machine, Rose Tyler and the clothes on his back. Two years on he has everything the Doctor lost: a home in the Scottish Highlands that reminds him of Gallifrey, a wife who loves him and a family. But in one horrible moment, his life is marred by an unimaginable tragedy, and like the Doctor, he is forced to go on. Unlike the Doctor, he has three motherless children and must go without his TARDIS. He can’t see it yet, but there is a light at the end of this tunnel.
