For Olympic equestrian hopefuls in the United States, Glengate Academy marks the best opportunity of their careers. The super-private, extra-elite, invite-only school recruits the top Olympic prospects, in both horses and riders, from around the US to ride and train with former Olympians and International competitors. At the end of four years, the cream of the crop will receive grants to help them begin their professional and international careers. Emma Brenton has dreamed of attending Glengate since the day she could ride. By some miracle, she manages to squeak into the group of invited riders. But, Glengate is a whole new level of challenging, for any rider, and Emma is no exception. The fact that she's here on a scholarship and using a school horse makes her a target for many of the other girls who come from wealthy families. Between overloads of schoolwork and intense training sessions, the competition to stay at the academy is fiercer than anyone could've imagined. Could Emma's dreams be ruined before they have a chance to take flight?

It's scary how much time can change people. It's scary knowing you leave as one person and come back as another, well that's my life. I was 14 when I left, I came home when I was 16. When I left I was a complete tomboy, every girl my age was absolutely boy crazed, me? I was Horse Crazed. My fancy outfit would be jeans and riding shirt. Simple, but me. I was your typical unfashionable, shy, naive girl every school had. With that title came major bulling. When I came home, I had changed. I wasn't the innocent, tomboy every knew. I came home with looks that could put a model to shame, I had developed the confidence I lacked and the fashion sense I always wished for. Although the horsey part of me stayed. I was out for one thing, revenge. A dish best served cold.
