Isabel has disappeared but Tim divorced her or he tried. Before he left LA he put a divorce paper on 'their' coffee table and a pen. He doesn't know whether she signed it or not but he just needed to get out of LA. He left his job, his 'wife' but he had to. A weight was weighing on him like a brick. What will happen next??? Basically this is 1 year after 5×22 of The Rookie, Tim is still Sergeant of Metro LAPD but Lucy is Detective Chen. She passed her Detective Exam within the top 10. Anyway, she has been undercover for a few months. They both miss each other and wish for her to come home. When a mishap on patrol brings them back together...

Lucy and Tim are assigned to another undercover mission, to infiltrate a drug trafficking operation run by a figure named Javier Reyes. Their goal is to gain Reyes' trust, gather intel on the operation and identify key players, all while maintaining their cover as a criminal couple. This all takes place a few months after their breakup, which makes it more complicated for them. Will they be able to stay professional at all times, even when they're together, alone, in their apartment??
