This story is about a young girl, Chloe, and her twin brother, Landon who have lived with their stepsiblings, mom, and stepdad since birth. When their mom and stepdad go missing, their biological brothers, who didn't know they existed, take them in. Their stepsiblings were taken in by their biological mother. The twins are eight years old and never get to meet their biological father due to him passing on a business trip that he had gone on before the twins were taken in. The twins are scared of their new brothers and new environment, and while Landon bonds quickly, Chloe takes her time. The young girl suffers from anxiety and it takes a while for her to feel comfortable with new people. The twins don't know that their family members are involved in the mafia, a secret they keep. As the story progresses, their stepsiblings reach out, adding more drama as more secrets are revealed. We'll be able to watch the kids grow up and learn new things and see them before their teen years, which will occur in the second book!
