A quiet girl, a chai-loving boy, and a dusty bookstore where hearts begin to unfold. ........... It's a soft romance book where two teenagers struggling through their own battles find solace in each other. This book is a cute comfort book. If you're feeling drained after reading an intense, steamy dark romance, this book is the perfect change of pace. Unlike fantasy driven plots, it's rooted much closer to reality, where the main characters face genuine, real-life struggles. What began as a short story eventually grew into a full-length novel, simply because I couldn't bring myself to let these characters go. .........

She was unaware of the danger looming over her head. Her father-her only family. He did everything he could to shield his little princess from the darkness of the world they belonged to. But sometimes, no matter how fiercely you armor your loved ones, no matter how sharp your will to protect them, there are forces that slip through and shatter them anyway. On his deathbed, with no choices left, he bound his daughter's fate to The Tyrant-the man feared by all, the one who made even the bravest men tremble. As he took his final breath, his only worry lingered: would his daughter ever learn to live without fear? He despised himself for shaping her into what she had become-a fragile, broken girl. And yet, marrying her off to a man so opposite of her nature was the only way he knew she would live. Whether that decision was salvation or damnation, he would never know.
