This is the story of two ugly ducklings drifting in the middle of a vast ocean.
"Man" is a young boy who has just moved in with relatives after his grandmother passed away. He has to transfer schools and begin a new life. He hopes with all his heart that his final two years of high school will go well. He promises himself that during this time he will make at least one friend.
He has been lonely and isolated for far too long.
He only wants to fulfill his grandmother's last request. She wished for him to have a friend. Just one friend would be enough.
In the past his biggest obstacle in social life was the HIV in his body.
Before the school year even begins he meets "Than," the boy who lives in the same neighborhood and who also seems to be one of his future classmates.
"Hello. My name is..."
"I do not want to know."
"..."
"Move."
Than does not even look at him. His rejection is cold and sharp. Marn watches only the back of the boy walking away from him.
He later learns more about this new acquaintance. People say Than used to be a provincial level swimmer, but something happened that made him quit and step away from the sport.
He abandoned that dream completely and never once thought of returning to it.
It is unfortunate that some kinds of wisdom cannot appear on their own during youth.
The story of these two boys, each carrying wounds in their hearts, is about to unfold. The season of blooming has arrived.
It is up to them to decide whether they will use this time to learn, grow, and move forward with happiness or not.
