This story is a Dark Continent Alternate Universe (AU). Story takes place after Gon and Ging had a father-son conversation atop the world tree. Set place after the chairman election arc. The plot covers the background of Ging Freecss, future adventure at the dark continent, and explores the father-son relationship of Ging and Gon Freecss.
