"You will know darkness. You will see it... feel it... You will breathe it in; the evil that is to come. It is my duty to show you, and it is your fate to learn from it." Rurik Kaster is a veteran soldier and a blood-tested, war-hardened champion for his empire. He is a brother and a friend and, once again, going to war for his Emperor, but not any kind he has endured before. His strength and spirit will be tested. His allies will become suspect. His reality will turn upside down. Fate of an Empire is the first installment in the Talurian Empire Trilogy. The launching series, centering on the warring empire of Talur, a dominant people group on a secluded continent of Ethindriil, driven into a bloodlust war between powers far beyond their comprehension. Follow a courageous soldier, tyrannical general, orphaned druid, warrior prince, ancient mage, and many more characters as they try to make sense of their escalating conflict.

I am writing this as a view into my past for the girl I love. Although, the more I write the more I seem to invest in this story. So I am putting this story up as a way of expressing myself. Everything in this story is a representation of something in my past. This is a short story about emotion. I give emotions their own characters, names, feeling, and stories. These emotions all fight for control of the world the live in, and what they believe to be right. Also, this story tells of what happens when the outside world attacks these emotions peaceful and innocent world. Of how bad emotions can be chained, or grow strong. Most of all: this is a story of brothers, and of right and wrong; of choosing between light and dark, and the consequences of those choices. I do hope you all give me advice, for you are much better writers than me, and my last reason for writing this is to become a better writer. Thank you all!
