When I was a young child, I used to read fairy tales. Ever since, I've always wanted my own true love. I've always wanted my own story, with my own happy ending. But later I found out that isn't what I thought it would be. I was forced to face Reality.

Music was everything to Matt, his guitar was his best friend. But, he never felt it was enough. He was surrounded by dumb jocks who thought that music was worthless unless it was dubstep or useless rap. He felt alone...until he crossed paths with Savanna. She was the annoying, sarcastic, pessimistic girl who would ironically be the most uplifting part of Matt's life. She would be his melody.

If you're judging this book by its cover and title, you're already proving the point this story wants to make. Try to move past this satirical obstacle in front of you. This is a story about bullying, and like the hundreds of other books on the topic, it will show you the harsh reality of being discriminated, belittled, ridiculed for something you cannot control- how you look, who you love, or what you believe in. But unlike these books, this story's sole purpose is not to tear your heart out of your chest as you mourn over your loss of faith in humanity. Instead, this book will make you laugh and love alongside these characters.
