At the age of 6 his father found a new woman to love and abandoned his family. This caused Izuku's mother, Inko Midoriya, to run away with her son. She ends up abandoning Izuku in an orphanage to get rid of and extra mouth to feed, hoping he'd be safer there, but things never seem to work out for him, do they? He fell into a dark pit of depression and suicidal thoughts. Which led to harsh teasing and bullying from the other children at the orphanage.
