This fanfiction takes place between the episodes "Chance or Something more" and "Thornapple," after Maomao has prevented the assassination attempt on Jinshi.

All three parts of my Apothecary Diaries fanfiction I already published on ao3! First part: It was very late and the (once again) overworked Jinshi was finally heading to bed. But he would never have guessed what he would find on the way... Second part: Jinshi is carrying Maomao, who has fallen asleep in the hallway, to her room, while thinking about a few things concerning them both. Third part: A little story about Maomao finding Jinshi asleep at his desk one night.

Maomao was a woman who loved poison, but she didn't suspect that there was also a particular poison that Jinshi adored. A poison so sweet and delightful it could be considered a drug. And that poison was her. This text is inspired by the song "Addicted to you" by Avicii. A secret, buried for years, is revealed-and throws Maomao off balance. Between falling drops and silence, between breaths and unspoken longing, something unfolds that neither of them planned-something that reaches far beyond this single day.
