There is nothing worse for a pirate than dying on dry land. Except, maybe, swinging two feet above it. When their captain is imprisoned, facing the gallows, the men and women of the Lady Lesya's crew will try everything to break him out--even if it means fighting guards in ridiculous uniforms, bargaining with overweight monsters, and risking the life of the more or less innocent. Add vengeful local thugs, a mysterious killer with a grudge, and some unexpected ghosts to this already perilous task, and the streets of Puerto Seguro turn into a bloodbath. To get out of the town alive, the brethren of the coast will have to act not just as a crew, but as a family. ___________________ As it's a pirate story not created by Disney, expect strong language, violence, gore, and allusion to sex. But also humor, strong characters, and a touch of love. The story, three years and a half in the making, is now complete (and under revision). ____________________ Magnificent cover by @Tweeter109 Awesome headers by @FayLane

In the year 2614, humans have succeeded in eliminating war. Conflicts are now resolved economically. With armed forces rendered obsolete, combat forces have been reduced to a bare minimum, or even eliminated altogether in favour of the police. But the arrival of the Chimeras, monstrous and fantastical creatures, forces humans to take up arms once again. Unprepared and poorly equipped, the human population is greatly reduced: the Chimeras take no prisoners. To cope, humans use mechanical combat armour, and a central government organises global defence. After twenty years of bloody fighting, the war becomes bogged down. Areas spared by the war begin to appear. In the year 2631, Manuel Ferreira lives in Clermont-Ferrand. He is a young man gifted in mechanics, living in this post-apocalyptic world. He hates war, even though he knows how to fight. Like all of humanity, he hopes that peace will come. An unlikely encounter with a colourful combat unit will plunge him into a journey of discovery at the very heart of his species' future. Are these the first steps towards peace? And for how long? How can differences and resentments be overcome? What if another, even more dangerous threat were also taking its first steps on Earth?
