But all good things must come to an end. They both come first in dragon training. When they enter the ring to try and tame the nightmare to show Berk that dragons aren't bad, they don't listen. The nightmare goes crazy. Hiccup and Astrid almost die. But the two fury's save them. Then they get caught. They are put on trial and get banished. Their parents disown them also. When they leave, they get thrown insults. After 6 years of being free, they end up being in the place they despise the most. Things don't end well for them. This story will not be a series. Just one book.

Hiccup, the daughter of Stoick the Vast, the cheif of Berk. She is an undersized teen wishing to become a dragon slayer like the other Vikings. She managed to injure a rare Night Fury dragon but was unable to bring herself to kill it. She instead helped and befriended the dragon, and quickly discovered that things are not exactly as they seem in the conflict between Vikings and dragons.

I got the idea for this story after reading @Night-FuryDreamer story Night Fury Venom and Night Fury Wrath. I am putting my own spin on the story itself because I have a new idea on where the story could go but if you want to read two EXTREMELY AMAZING STORIES I recommend you go check them out because honestly they are two of the best works of HTTYD fanfic that I've ever read. They top any of the ideas I've ever had. This story follows the journey of Hiccup as he discovers that his mere existence is thanks to two deities who were using him to keep the balance. What they didn't expect was that his role in the balance was flawed until the truth of who he is, is revealed allowing dark forces to grow in strength.

An alternate universe where on the day when Hiccup planned to leave Berk forever with Toothless after being selected to kill the Monsterous Nightmare. This time, Astrid didn't follow him, and he and Toothless were able to leave. He travels for a few days alone with his dragon as the vikings of Berk speculate what had happened to the Chief's son. On an island, outside the archipelago, he meets a certain red-haired man, and his raven-haired sister, who had been shipwrecked after their island was attacked and burned, leaving them to be the only survivors. An alliance gets formed, and quickly they become a family of three wayward teenagers and a dragon who goes on insane adventures together. But rumors beyond the archipelago don't stay out for long. What happens when Berk finds out the boy they doubted and ridiculed may not be so dead after all? I do not own Httyd or any of these characters.
