In seventeen-year-old Mia's world, Greek Gods have certainly made their presence known. That's right. Zeus, Hera, Poseideon. They were all real. Even more, people have actually seen them, met them, and sometimes, fell in love with them. They were hailed as supernatural beings, ones that were to be worshiped until the end. But to Mia, it was quite the opposite. For starters, she doesn't even think that they're even that powerful. Yeah, sure, there's thousands of stories about them conquering giant beasts and saving cities from devastating monsters, but those could all be made up. So when these gods come after Mia for a prophecy regarding one of the strongest--and most chaotic--of Olympians, you can certainly bet that she was more than shocked. - - - "You will either be his saving grace or his downfall." - - - Highest rankings (2/27/21): ares - #1 apollo - #9 gods - #1 zeus - #1 hades - #2 athena - #2 greece - #1 greekmythology - #1 Oracle - #2

"I don't consider you evil, not even bad!" "I can't be considered bad, but neither can I be considered good." "You are definitely a good person, Lord Hades!" Hades watched her in surprise. In all these years he was known as a feared and frightening god, and did this minor goddess have the courage to say about him that he was good? "I'm afraid you're talking about things you don't understand. There is no meadow without shadows..." "But no dark room without a lighted candle at least! the goddess interrupted him, stopping and taking a step in front of him." Hades stopped, too, raising an eyebrow at the thought that she had really interrupted him. Persephone realized this, but she did not want to give up. She rose to her feet to look taller than she really was. "A person is not only good or just bad, Persephone!" "That means there is something good in everyone. Something good in you too, Lord Hades!"

"Kiss me." He whispers. "I-I don't know how...I've never done this before." I frantically whisper and tilt my head. My nose slightly brushes against his, and all of my instincts tell me to dive into him with the most passionate kiss I could create. I wanted to be closer, and feel every part of him against me. "Can I kiss you?" He asks through an intoxicating whisper. His lips teasingly hover over mine, and without thinking I finally press my lips against his. His lips matched mine perfectly like a puzzle, and I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer. His hands trail up my back, and the euphoric bursts of pleasure take my senses into over drive. He starts to part his lips, and his tongue slowly enters through my lips to play with mine. He tastes of sweet wine, and I feel my hands sliding up to grip his hair. I let out a slight moan into his lips, and my breath grows heavy. We part for a gasp of air before meeting back with more of my muffled moans. A faint thud-like sound catches my attention, and I start to pull away to see what made the sound. My lips retreat, and I take a faint breath before clearing my mind to think logically. As I pull away, his lips simply continue to kiss my chin and down my cheek. Another gasp slips from my lips, and this one echos through the hall. "I..I think...I...I heard something." I whisper as quietly as possible. He lightly pulls away to take a small breath before smiling. "I didn't hear anything. It's nothing." He pushes aside.... During the ancient times of Greece, lives the daughter of Demeter, Persephone. All her life has been sheltered from the mortal and immortal world. When her desire for a taste of freedom goes too far, she seals a deal with a man she will never escape... Enjoy this retelling of the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone! This is one of my favorite Greeks myths, and comment if you have any feedback! I'd love to hear from you 🖤

| A Wattpad Featured Story | Hades was well-cast to rule over the land of the dead. But what if Hades, the fearsome monarch of the Underworld was, in fact, a goddess? Everyone called her, 'Lord of the Dead' out of mockery since she prefers the company of women. She was considered an isolated and violent immortal, who loathed change and was easily given to a slow black rage like no others. But then everything changed when the dark goddess met the daughter of Demeter, Persephone. Now the tale of Hades and Persephone will be retold with a sprinkle of twists and turns. |LGBT content.
