In a world where Magic is outlawed. The who is caught using such sorcery will be punished by death. Anything supernatural is considered the works of the devil, so mages around the globe are constantly living in fear. Levy McGarden, I simple townswoman; ocean blue hair, chocolate brown eyes, Five Foot Two (5'2) and has an eye for the books. She is a mage and has been in hiding her whole life. Her parents passed at age ten and all she has is her bag of belongings and her distant friends. But Imagine getting caught using magic and chased to some unknown valley somewhere by the town mob. But in that valley she meets a group of unusual people, one different from the other, no they weren't mages but... Dragons.

Puppets brought to life and a strange king. Just another day in the Kingdom of Magnolia for the puppet maker Gajeel Redfox, till he gets an invitation to the castle from the king and Puppet Master himself.

For a shy bookworm like Levy McGarden, her life merely consisted of working at her bookstore and reading. However, a drastic and rather bloody event changes her life forever, in which she must come to terms with the fact that she is now a vampire, as well as the supposed mate of the culprit who changed her.

Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel felt like it was their obligation to find out why. Natsu didn't like the way Lucy smelt. The drastic change in her scent through him off so bad, it was as if he didn't even know her. Although he did like that she didn't attempt to kick him out of her apartment, he did miss seeing her reaction when she saw that he broke into her apartment. Gray didn't like how she didn't go out of her way to take a second glance at him, or how she suddenly became bolder than she was before. Gajeel noticed how she barely scolded him anymore. He missed the morning arguments and debates with Levy. In addition to this, her scent was different. Her smell was so sickening, it made him not want to be in her presence. He always loved the way Levy smelt, however, now it was like she was another person. It was as if she wasn't even real.

Levy McGarden is 25, and ready to start her career as a translator at the Fairy Tail Law Firm. What she was not ready for was seeing her high school bully, Gajeel Redfox, as her new co-worker as the Inter- company Relations Director. Her life spirals into confusion as she struggles to deal with a crazy red-headed lawyer, lovesick interns, and a CAO that seems to have gone completely mad.
