At a party she goes to toward the end of her senior year of high school, she meets a boy with the name Macklin Celebrini, things go well during the party and they end the night with a kiss. When her brother announces to his family that he's gonna try his luck in the NHL after being drafted the year prior, the choice is easy - she'll apply to a college close to where he's playing. This is when her brother reintroduces her to the boy she met at a party earlier that year.
