Mike messes up bad this time and Chester's left alone, trying to pick up the pieces. It's not as easy as he thought it would be, though. Especially if the only one who can help him, is also the one to have hurt him the most.

With the band in its fledgling stage, Chester has a lot of weight on his shoulders. He is far from his home and family, as the group of friends tried to get a foothold in the music business. It doesn't help that one of his fellow band members bullies him for his own amusement. Things quickly get even more complicated when Chester meets an older man named Chris. The fast-driving, hard-drinking, wild card of a man brings out things in Chester that he didn't know he could feel.

The government has taken charge. If you aren't loyal to them, you're hunted down and killed. The corruption is spreading. And there's a leader, a leader who can destroy the corruption. As long as he's alive.

Chester is admitted into a mental facility to keep him away from having suicidal tendencies. He has the ability to get rehabilitated, but chooses to stay in the facility in order to stay away from 'him', the reason why he wanted to die in the first place. Through being harassed by a hateful nurse, staying away from the guys, and being frightened of the person who hurt him, Chester's forced to try and push through.

Mike Shinoda is an ordinary boy with extraordinary talent. He's a great musician and has a bright future in the artistic field. He and his friends, Phoenix, Brad, Rob, and Joe, decide to create a band and hope to make it big. They plan to have their first gig at Brad's final senior party of the year but their plans never surface. Mike gets carried away at the party, drinking out his sober mind and decides to show off at karaoke. Later on in the night, he disappears. Chester Bennington is known as the weird boy at school with a destructive path. He suffers through numerous hardships and is failing all of his classes. He couldn't care less. With no luxuries, friends, or barely the reminisces of a family, Chester's life is falling apart. Except, he can't see how bright of a future he truly has. He has strong vocals and a passion for singing but doesn't believe he can actually make it. With no self esteem, he won't try. How will these boys cross paths?
