Tango's breathing is hard, and he barely registers anything else besides rage and betrayal. Rage. Tango screams when the explosions reach him, his legs buckling and his arms wrapping around his head and stomach as a pitiful shield. Fear. Tango collapses, his wings no longer buzzing, just twitching. He whines and trembles-this time of regret. Apology. Love? {Or 3 times Tango's heart froze, +1 time he was able to warm up.}

The whisper in his head seems pitying already, the voice slow to speak, as if it knows Tango will fail, like it knows just how incompetent he is. It's mocking him, it must be. It knows more than he does about himself, because it's of the future-the present? The real time-and Tango currently isn't. -next session you will become a red name. His eyes land on Impulse standing by the lava and looking down at it, not unlike Tango had been. Tango's eyes sharpen and his antennae stand up. He meets Impulse's eyes when he addresses the small Boogeyman again. "Push me in there," Impulse says. {In which Tango is failing, out of time, Impulse is offering up himself, and curses suck.}
