Obanai war schon immer hochbegabgt gewesen. In seiner Jugend war er allerdings oft wegen seiner Augen und seiner Schlange Kaburamaru veruteilt worden. Trotz allem war er Lehrer geworden. Und er bekam eine Klasse zugeteilt, in der er der Klassenlehrer war. Doch da er nicht alleine für exakt 30 Kinder verantwortlich sein wollte wurde Sanemi Shinazugawa der Stellvertretene Klassenlehrer. Und mit der Zeit begann Obanai Gefühle für den aggressiven Japanisch und Mathelehrer zu entwickeln.

Giyuu Tomioka zieht um in Hoffnung auf ein besseres Leben. Wer hätte gedacht das schon bald sein weißhaariger Sitznachbar genau für dieses Leben sorgen wird. Zwischen alten Traumata, die die beiden noch verarbeiten müssen und einem Ereignis das droht Giyuu zu brechen, werden es die zwei schaffen, einen gemeinsamen Weg zu finden?
