Daya has had a romantic encounter with Shreya, a previous CID officer, who showed interest in him until she got engaged due to her impatience. Daya has since ignored the concept of love and is focussed entirely on his work. As of Purvi, she respects everyone as their brother and father (ACP and Dr. Salunke), but Daya's place is different.
