HEAVEN 🕯️ (G. SEONGJE)

Yume knew what survival meant before she was even learning to walk. She didn't have time to let her brain develop, the darkness of the stains she left on other people's body coming to haunt her.
She didn't know what empathy meant, nor guilt. Just knew one thing : to actually live, you need to sacrifice and not look back. And maybe, that's what destroyed her.
The sharp knives drooling blood on her father's shirt as she woke up. Curious, she went to inspect. His heart stopped beating, and surprisingly she felt amazed. That's when she realised it was wrong.
Well, not immediately. At first, she thought it was normal to feel happiness by one's suffering. Then, when she observed and saw how people wear those masks called "emotions", she was uncomfortable. She never felt such thing, what would happiness feel if she had it? And why couldn't she have it?
She'd always remember that one day, where she saw people cry over the teacher who died. She couldn't care less, just shrugged. Maybe it was evil, but either way everything she does is evil and knows it.
The fake smiles that creeped on people's face made her scared. Like happiness was a disease, and maybe for her it was.
