The Marauders are starting their fifth year at Hogwarts; Remus is starting with a massive scar across his face - a byproduct of the increasing severity of his furry little problem, which is a definite cause for concern despite his insistence that it it's fine. Sirius is starting with the memories of a certain morning at 12 Grimmauld Place in August: memories that he might not ever forget, yet is desperate to cloak underneath the facade that every is fine at home and that he and his parents just sometimes encounter minor disagreements. James is starting his fifth year, yes, but more importantly, he is starting phase five of his plan to woo Lily Evans: somehow his friends seem doubtful that he might succeed, but James, being James, is in no lack of confidence. Frerard TRIGGER WARNING Gerard just needs some help. He won't get any help, and he won't listen to Mikey, or his mom. Really, he's isolating himself to protect them, and everything is getting worse. After waking up on his bathroom floor, he knows it's gone too far, but he's just letting everything slip out of his hands. That is, until Frank appears out of nowhere and tells him to stop. Frank Iero just needs someone. His mom is never around, and his dad is out of the picture, leaving him all alone. He doesn't have any friends, and he feels like he's just fading into oblivion and no one really cares. Really, he's all on his own, and he needs someone. But he never thinks he'll have anyone. That is, until Gerard. So they're both pretty fucked up. But they need each other, and they want each other, and they're determined to make it work. It isn't always easy, in fact, it rarely seems to be. But it's all a bit better if they can just hold each other's hands through it. He dishes himself out to men in order to fund his art education. Whereas frank Iero, his life was bland in comparison. He's the typical nice guy and a hopeless romantic but that's about it really. Until he stumbles into a certain coffee shop and just as if a flock of doves had descended this man from heaven themselves, he meets an angel. A tainted Angel nevertheless, but still an angel.

It all starts when his new neighbors move in. Frank didn't know it was possible to hate two people so much, but they don't leave him alone! He'd do anything to get them to stop bothering him, which is why he makes a bet with Brendon. It's the neighbors that lead him to the bet, but it's the bet that leads him to Gerard.
