He is the Night Court's silent blade, a shadowsinger bound by duty and scars. But when dusk itself answers his call, desire and destiny entwine-and the walls he's built may finally begin to break. This is an Azriel-centered fanfiction, imagining the events after A Court of Silver Flames (incl. the bonus chapters), and featuring a new OC. Disclaimer: I haven't read Throne of Glass or Crescent City just yet, so none of the events in those series have been taken into account in this fanfiction. Let me know your thoughts about this in the comments! I would love to discuss 🩶

For fifty years, Asteria survived. She survived the loss of her brother. She survived the war. She survived becoming the person everyone leaned on. But somewhere between duty and grief, she forgot how to live. She forgot how to fly. Then Azriel arrives at the mountain house half-frozen, wounded, exhausted-and everything begins to change. In the quiet of storms and candlelight, among shadows that adore her and wings she no longer remembers how to use, Asteria begins finding herself again. And somewhere between shadows, storms, and stolen moments, Azriel realizes there was never going to be an escape from her and why his shadows chose her centuries ago. A fantasy romance set in the Night Court. Slow burn. Mutual pining. Healing. Star magic. Wing care. Shadows with opinions. And a love story written softly between the stars. All characters and settings from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series belong to Sarah J. Maas. I only own my original characters, scenes, and plot additions created for this fanfiction. This story is a non-profit work of fanfiction made purely for entertainment purposes. Happy Ending :)

Arya knew three things with absolute certainty: 1. Keep her identity a secret. 2. Keep the wings hidden. 3. Absolutely do not get tangled up with the Night Court. She has since broken all three. In her defense, nobody told her the Night Court came with three mates, a grim dog with opinions, and a prophecy older than the continent itself. Also in her defense, the last time anyone saw her she was six months old, so most of this is technically not her fault. A full ACOTAR rewrite - OC-centric, polyandry (OC X Rhys & Cassian & Azriel), slow burn, yearning, anti-Inner Circle, Virgin Bat Boys. Ancient lore. Plot twists. Therapy for everyone who's lived long enough to need it. Best Rankings: #1 Rhys #1 Azriel #1 Cassian #1 ACOTAR #1 ACOTAR Fic #1 ACOTAR AU #1 Rhysand x OC #1 Cassian x OC #1 Azriel x OC

COMPLETED. The war for the freedom of humans was a long, treacherous era for Prythian. But the aftermath, when Courts attempted to rebuild within their newly drawn lines, proved to be just as uncharted and dangerous. Courts that had fought on opposite sides of the war found themselves at odds, and powerful offspring began to lay claim to their parent's thrones. As such, a new alliance is formed between the young half Fae half Illyrian High Lord of the Night Court, and Helion, High Lord of the Day court. It is through this alliance that Helion's bastard daughter, Elora, meets Azriel, the High Lord of the Night Court's Shadowsinger. Azriel was infamous, and feared by all who beheld him. But not Elora, as she found that perhaps they were not so unlike.

In a world divided by courts and bound by ancient power, two dangerously different souls collide. Azriel, the Night Court's infamous Spymaster, lives in the shadows-silent, lethal, and ruled by duty. But everything shifts when he crosses paths with Delphine, a seductive and bold siren thief with a wicked smile and a knack for disappearing just when he gets too close. She's chaos wrapped in charm, leaving soul-drained corpses and sarcastic notes in her wake. He's the blade sent to stop her... until the bond reveals something far more complicated. Now hunted and haunted by each other, Delphine and Azriel are locked in a deadly game of cat and mouse-where secrets run deep, hearts betray logic, and neither one is willing to lose. Not to the other. Not even to fate.

Eira Archeron was neither a Valkyrie, nor a Seer, nor the High Lady of the Night Court. She was actually pretty much useless. The only thing she wanted was to be somebody's first choice for once in her life. Also known as: Azriel's shadows decide that if he doesn't treat his mate right... they'll just do it for him.

Isarella, the daughter of Thesan, High Lord of the Dawn Court, endured horrors that shattered her spirit and left her scarred in body and soul. Trapped Under the Mountain alongside Rhysand, Isarella's unique gifts became both her salvation and her curse. As a healer with power inherited from her father, she was forced to mend the broken bodies of her captors and victims alike. But beneath her quiet demeanor lay a secret ability: the power to command light itself. With a snap of her fingers, she could extinguish the stars or bring radiant dawn to the darkest of nights-a power she kept hidden, knowing it could bring devastation if wielded recklessly. When Feyre arrived Under the Mountain to free her love, Tamlin, Isarella became an unwilling witness to Feyre's trials. Bound in scraps of clothing and forced to stand alongside Rhysand, she watched Feyre fight against the impossible. And when Feyre solved Amarantha's riddle only to have her life cruelly snuffed out, Isarella made a choice that would change her fate forever. Joining the High Lords, she granted Feyre a fragment of her light, weaving her own power into Feyre's rebirth. Years later, as the war with Hybern looms, Isarella is forced to face the nightmares of her past once more. Reuniting with Rhysand and his Court brings buried trauma to the surface, but it also brings unexpected connections. When Isarella crosses paths with Azriel, the Shadowsinger, her light collides with his shadows in a way that neither of them can deny. Drawn to one another, they uncover secrets that could change the course of the war-and their lives. As Hybern's armies threaten Prythian, Isarella must embrace the full extent of her powers, even if it means confronting the ghosts of her captivity and the pain of standing beside Rhysand once more. Will her light be enough to banish the shadows of her past? Or will her fractured heart and the darkness she once endured consume her entirely? ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO SJM

Broken down by a war too young, Azriel was sure he'd always find himself alone and surrounded by his deepest fears. Desperate to find his purpose and place, he follows behind his brothers as they continue to live when he feels like he's drifting away. Could the one he had always wanted be his answer to bring the light to his past and present? Is there a hidden light in the shadows? Freyja, the daughter of the High Lord of the Night Court, finds herself too restless to live the docile Lady life she'd been groomed for. Nothing more than a promise of currency to the heir of another court, she's desperate to find any way out. Deciding between love or war, darkness or bloodshed, her fight is endless. Could they find comfort in each other's distress? An escape within each other in hidden shadows and suppressed desire? Do they have enough time to learn what what peace feels like? With a rivalry growing stronger beyond their control, could it all fall apart? Azriel x OC All rights to the characters of A Court of Thorns and Roses belong to Sarah J. Maas. ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ ✮ ᴀᴢʀɪᴇʟ x ғᴇᴍ!ᴏᴄ ✮ ᴛᴀᴋᴇs ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇ ᴀғᴛᴇʀ ᴀᴄᴏᴡᴀʀ The fall of Hybern should have been the end of it: the bloodshed, the violence, the strife. But all kingdoms come with a failsafe. An Heir rises, and an assassin wakes. She is a walking myth, a legend from nightmares. When the Deathbringer finds her way into the Night Court after centuries of dormancy, the Inner Circle sees her for what she is: not an omen, not a weapon, but a girl. She just might be the key to saving Prythian -- if she can first find a way to save herself. Assassin. Murderer. Monster. It seems like a fair enough trade: her shattered soul to take down the Heir of Hybern. And yet, the Inner Circle has another method in mind. The guilt of her past weighs like a world on her shoulders, though Fallon can't seem to deny it: this Court, these people... they're worth dying for. But they just might be worth living for, too. There's one in particular. One who speaks to shadows, one whose darkness seems to whisper to her own. There's a word hidden in that whisper, one she could never fathom until now -- until him. slowish!burn. plot-centric just as much as it is romance-centric, or at least imo.

ACOTAR- Azriel/OC Volume I in the A Court of Secrets Series - Five hundred years ago, the Princess of the Night Court was slaughtered in the Illyrian wilderness. Her wings were torn from her back. Her head was put in a box and thrown down the river for her brother to find. Her story ended the way it was told- through blood and suffering and death. At least, that's what everyone thought. But there are secrets she took to the grave- And one of them is that she's still alive. Now, as war with Hybern looms and the cracks in the Night Court begin to splinter, her return sets off a chain reaction that no one is ready for. Allegiances shift. Truths are questioned. And the story everyone thought they knew begins to unravel- One bloody, burning lie at a time. - Special thanks to @fxckmiup and @crimson_text for their support, encouragement, and editing.
