Her somewhat safe life is flipped upside down when a man named Link is hired to escort her across the desolate country to take her to someone she'd given up on. But life outside the zone and the people left are much worse than she thought, including the one closest to her.

What if, when Zelda and Link were plummeting into the depths together, Link had just managed to grab Zelda's hand? This is that story. Now, both Zelda and Link are stuck in the past, in a world very different from their own, trying to find their way home. Tensions are rising at court as Ganondorf takes power, and Zelda can't deny that she has feelings for her best friend and only tether to the world she once knew. Will they both make it out alive? While Zelda's ambitions send her higher, Link has been searching for a way down. His smile is perfect, his lyrics are better. The magazines love him and so do the charts and every time someone finds his albums in the stores, his pockets grow heavier. His name is adored everywhere and what could ever be better than that?
