Brando's still the golden boy of their nowhere Texas town, baseball trophies, perfect girlfriend, and a heart full of secrets he's been pretending don't matter. Until Wilson shows up and everything he buried starts clawing its way out. Between late-night bonfires, crumbling friendships, mixtapes that say too much, and a summer that tastes like dust and maybe-love, the past refuses to stay gone. Because sometimes the hardest thing isn't leaving, it's coming home to the person you used to be.

"If Only You Knew" (IOYK) is a fun coming-of-age fanfic following two boys based off of Conan Gray's characters from his song and music video "This Song" from his fourth studio album "Wishbone" (which you should totally listen to).

After a messy divorce between Texas native Wilson's parents, his mom packs up and moves them to Austin to go live with her wealthy parents. The next summer however, his dad claims he's sober and ready to start a new relationship with his son so Wilson makes the move to spend the summer back home in Georgetown. When his old best friend Brando shows up at his window the first night he's back Wilson remembers just what made it so hard to leave in the first place. After a year apart will their friendship stay just as strong? Or become something new entirely? Inspired by Conan Gray's upcoming Wishbone album. Has little bits and pieces from all his albums and songs though.
