My eyes flashed to his chest briefly, but unfortunately not briefly enough.
Thank God for giving the six-foot-something manchild with daddy issues a six-pack and dimples.
A grin tugged at Seb's lips as he moved closer.
"You have to be crazy, or else you were serious about the four grand."
"I was," he said. "I have a proposition."
I laughed once.
"No."
"No? It's four grand. Hear me out."
I didn't reply. I just looked at him.
Sebastian King continued anyway.
"You pretend to date me this summer, I pay you four thousand dollars cash."

Liana Burke takes a summer counsellor job at Camp Kingatoa because UBC is expensive, and being poor doesn't come with a grace period.
She expects mosquitoes, sticky kids, minimum wage, and eight weeks of keeping other people's children alive.
Instead, she gets trapped in the woods with:
› Carter Wright - the golden boy she's loved since they were kids sharing free school lunches.
› Sienna Monroe - her former best friend, who learned years ago exactly how to turn Liana's poverty into a punchline.
› Sebastian King - spoiled, reckless, ridiculously rich, and the boy who once proved in one casual sentence that no matter how close they grew up, Liana still belonged beneath him.
Then Sienna cheats on Sebastian.
With Carter.
Suddenly, Sebastian wants revenge.
And Liana needs money.
So Seb offers her a deal:
Fake-date him for the summer. Make their exes jealous. Get paid four thousand dollars cash.
Liana knows better than to trust Sebastian King. Unfortunately, tuition costs considerably more than her dignity.
And at Camp Hustler, everybody learns the same lesson eventually:
Everyone has a price.
The problem?
The longer Liana pretends to be Sebastian King's girlfriend, the harder it becomes to remember which parts are fake.
