Silk saree. Diamond necklace. Red lips. A wealthy man's possession. A mistress. Her fingers slowly touched the fading bruise near her collarbone before quickly moving away, as though even she could not bear touching herself anymore. Outside the locked bedroom, laughter and music echoed through the mansion halls. Another party. Another night where powerful people would stare at her with curiosity, pity, or hidden mockery. "That's Abhinandan Varada's mistress" "She used to be a classical dancer, right?" "What a waste." The whispers never ended. Ahalya closed her eyes tightly. Once, people looked at her with admiration. Now they looked at her like sin A knock came at the door. "Madam,""Sir is calling you downstairs." Her stomach tightened instantly. Fear had become instinct now. Ahalya wiped her tears before they could fall and forced herself to stand. No matter how broken she felt... He would still call. And she would still go. Because Abhinandan Varada always got what he wanted. Always. She slowly walked through the grand corridors of the mansion that looked more like a golden cage than a home. Guards lowered their heads as she passed. No one met her eyes. No one dared. There Abhinandan sat lazily on the couch, glass of whiskey in one hand, looking powerful enough to own the entire world. And maybe he did. But the moment his eyes landed on her, something dangerous softened in his expression. "There you are, little doe." The endearment made her chest ache. A year ago, she had been a rising dancer with dreams in her eyes. Now she trembled hearing a man call her with affection. He opened one arm toward her casually. "Come here." Ahalya stood frozen. Every instinct inside her wanted to run. But there was nowhere left to run anymore. Because the cruelest thing about Abhinandan Varada was not his power. Not his anger. Not even the darkness inside him. It was the way he destroyed her life... And then loved her among the ruins.

_____________________________________ ✨THE DEVIL I CALLED HUSBAND ✨ _____________________________________ Amisha (eleven, white kurta, black skirt brushing ankles, single thick braid swinging) appeared at the archway. Her eyes were huge, confused. "Kahan ja rahe ho aap?" She twisted the end of her braid. "Sab log aapko bye bolne aaye hain..." He didn't turn. "Foreign. Padhne." Her sandals scraped closer. "Kitne din?" No answer. "Wapas kab aaoge?" Still nothing. "Aap wahan kya padhoge? Maths? Woh pulley wala?" She tried a smile. "Mujhe bhi sikha dena jab-" "AMISHA, CHUP!" The roar exploded, raw, vicious. He spun, face twisted, eyes black fire. "KITNI BAAR BOLNA PADEGA? MUJHSE SAWAL MAT KAR! HAR BAAT MEIN MUJH PAR LATKTI HO JAISE KOI GADDI HO! MAIN JA RAHA HOON AUR TUMHARA KOI HAQ NAHI HAI ROKNE KA!" She froze, braid mid-swing. "SAMJHAA? TUM EK BOJH HO! SIRF RONA AATA HAI! MOTI, CHOTI, BEWAQoof LADKI! MAIN YAHAN SE NIKAL RAHA HOON AUR TUM MERE LIYE KUCH BHI NAHI HO! KUCH BHI NAHI!" Each word was a slap. He stepped closer, towering. "AGAR EK AUR SAWAL KIYA NA, TOH AAJ HI IS HAVELI SE NIKALWA DUNGA! JAO! ABHI! MUJHSE DOOR!" Silence cracked open. Amisha's face drained white, then flooded crimson. Her lips parted-no sound. Tears spilled, instant, silent, huge. She turned. Ran. White kurta flashing like a ghost down the corridor, braid whipping behind her like a broken rope. Sobs tore out of her throat (sharp, animal, terrified). Abhiraj stood rooted, chest heaving. The courtyard blurred. His own voice echoed back, monstrous. He punched the pillar once-hard. Knuckles split. THIS STORY IS WRITTEN WITH THE HELP OF "AI",BUT STORY LINE IS MY OWN. "No-please-don't do this!" Seraphina sobbed, her voice cracking as she clung to her eldest brother's wrist. "I-I'll be good. I'll do whatever you say, just don't-" A sharp crack echoed through the room as his palm struck her cheek, sending her crashing to the marble floor. Pain exploded across her skin, but it was nothing compared to the terror clawing at her chest. From above, his voice was cold. Unmoved. "You will marry him." She shook her head wildly, crawling backward until her spine hit the wall. "He's a monster," she whispered, her breath shuddering. "He's not human. Please, don't make me do this. I'll die." Her second brother crouched in front of her, grabbing her chin roughly, forcing her to look at him. His lips curled, eyes void of warmth. "Then die." Her breath hitched. "But you will die as his wife." The door behind them creaked open. Heavy footsteps. Her father stepped inside, his expression unreadable. "Lock her in this room," he ordered. "She will not step out until her wedding day." Sera thrashed as hands seized her, dragging her toward the massive iron doors. "No! Please-Father, please!" But he didn't even look at her. The last thing she saw before the door slammed shut was her brothers standing side by side, indifferent as she was thrown into a fate worse than death. Then darkness. And the only thing left was the suffocating truth. She was a sacrifice. A bride to the Sinister, a devil himself. #A STANDALONE BOOK
