All that was discovered was a spatial rift that appeared across space, dragging planets and galaxies towards it causing the merge. so currently our planet is overrunned by different life forms and species. After a long battle between the humans and the Races that tried to rule the earth...an agreement has been reached with intelligent humanoid life forms to ensure peaceful coexistence between us, in exchange for mutual benefits, adaptational purposes and economic advancements.
