The events that occurred the day of the trail ride flash back to me all of the time. My whole family was killed because of it, my life was destroyed. I made it out alive, but I was living in the wilderness alone. My family turned into a bunch of wild horses, that I had trained and formed bonds with. I found houses, but none of them worked out. Spirits had risen up, haunting me and other things had caused problems in my life. So you could say I was an orphan that lived in the wilderness with a bunch of wild horses. The horses grew to like me, and I felt the same way about them. We grew bonds and we were soon inseparable. ~~~ Katelynn is a thirteen year old girl whose life is destroyed when a trail ride goes wrong. She finds herself living with a bunch of horses, using only her survival skills that her mom had taught her. Will she survive?
