Lando was still riding the high from securing McLaren the constructor's championship, when their family Christmas celebrations get interrupted by a woman holding a little girl, his daughter, as it turns out. He is left with a small child, travelling the world with McLaren while facing the struggles of a single father. His family and friends, but most importantly, his teammate Oscar, step up to help him with Evelyn (Eva). As Lando watches Eva take a liking to Oscar, he realizes that he has already given away his heart to his teammate.

I lean in, close enough that my breath grazes the side of his neck. "Jealous?" I murmur, with a smile that's anything but sweet. He freezes for a second, then turns slowly toward me, lips curving into something sharper than amusement. "Jealous? No. Just clear-eyed. a landoscar story 2025 starts out as a brilliant year for Mclaren, both their drivers have the chance to win the Championship. But how will this whole new chance effect the young driver pairing? When Lando meets Oscar for the first time, he thinks he dislikes Oscar, the rookie bringing back memories from Lando's past, which he had vowed to never think about again. Being near him is hard, and he has trouble hiding his dislike. When the fans and the media notice, McLaren is quick to step in, making both driver's sign a contract to be in a fake relationship for the reminder of the season. As Lando struggles with his past, Oscar is always by his side and despite the Australian causing him to confront his past, he can't help but realize that the hate he believed to feel when he first met Oscar, wasn't hate after all.
